The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the high amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The services level designed for intervention activities a substantial influx of likely beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
